01.
I
would love to see you in concert, when will you be coming to
my city?
The
best answer we can give to this question is please keep checking the
Tour
Dates here on the website. It is updated as soon
as any new concerts are confirmed. Although Natalie would love to play
every city, unfortunately it is impossible to play them all on a given
tour. Management is always working on putting together new concerts and
tours.
02.
The
Tour Schedule says this concert is 'private'. Can I buy tickets to
it?
If
a concert is marked 'private' this means it is not open to the general
public and tickets are not available. These are generally corporate
events and are listed on the website simply to indicate to promoters
that Natalie is booked on
that given date.
03.
I
notice on your Tour Schedule that you are playing Toronto and
Markham
but not Ottawa
(cities used as an example),
how come?
As much as
Natalie would love to play every city, It is impossible on a given tour.
Natalie tours all year round so she will no doubt be in a city
near you at some time in the future. Please keep checking the
Tour
Dates
page which is updated as soon as any new concerts are confirmed.
04.
Where
can I buy Natalie's CD's and other merchandise?
Natalie's
music is widely available in most popular music stores and is also
available through her secure
online
store.
05.
Where
can I get an autographed photo of Natalie?
Autographed
photos are available in Natalie's
online
store.
06.
Can
you tell me the names of the tunes Natalie played on TV the other
night?
We
are usually unable to answer this question as Natalie decides herself
what she is going to play at a given concert, television or radio
appearance and more often than not will not remember the exact tunes she
played. Because Cape Breton/Celtic music consists of several tunes
played together in the form of a medley, Natalie often decides what
tunes to play next on the spur of the moment. Natalie would often not
know the names of the tunes herself as she has learned most of the 1000+
tunes she knows by ear.
07.
How
long have you been playing the fiddle?
Natalie
started playing the fiddle at age 9 after a quarter-sized fiddle arrived
at the house from her grand-uncle. She was taught to stepdance at age 5
by her Mother. Please see the
Bio page
for a complete Biography.
08.
I
am doing a project on Natalie and would like more personal
information on her
As
with most artists, Natalie prefers to keep her personal life private as
much as possible, therefore we are unable to give out any more information than what is on
the website. There is loads of info here to fill up any project!
09.
Can I use images and photos from this site for my own
website?
Although
Natalie appreciates your interest and support, all images, graphics and
photos used on this site are copyright MacMaster Music and may not be
used without prior written permission. If you are looking for a press
photo to advertise an upcoming concert or for a magazine article, please
contact us at info@nataliemacmaster.com.
You may use photos from the website for a
personal school project which will not be viewable online.
10.
Where can I find sheet music to tunes Natalie plays?
Some
sheet music is posted in the
Sheet
Music page accessible from the Recordings page. This is updated from
time to time when Natalie sends in a new tune. Natalie does have plans
to release a book of sheet music but because of her very busy schedule,
no set date has been established for this project yet.
Mel
Bay Publications
has also released a book of tunes called "Natalie
MacMaster's Cape Breton Fiddle" with sheet music from the CD's A
Compilation, Fit As A Fiddle and No Boundaries.
